ABOUT US

RC EDUCATIONAL CONSULTING SERVICES, INC. (RCECS), founded by Kevin T. Martin, BVE, RRT, RCP, has been providing high quality continuing education courses since 1982. We specialize in topics relating to the care of the pulmonary patient. Our AARC approved courses (AARC Provider # 9346916) meet the mandatory continuing education requirements for Respiratory Care Practitioners in Canada and all states that currently have mandatory CE requirements. Please consult the applicable regulations with your Regulatory Board or select ACCREDITATION for your profession. Some Regulatory Boards limit the amount of continuing education available through home study. If you have questions or seek other information, select STATE CE REQUIREMENTS from the home page or call (800) 441-LUNG / (877) 367-NURS.

GENERAL COURSE DESCRIPTION
Our courses range in subject matter from simple review material to advanced critical care skills. They vary in length and in the amount of CE credit granted. (Credit granted is based upon how long it takes to provide the same material in a lecture setting). Each course consists of behavioral objectives, outline, text, post-test, answer sheet and evaluation form. The answer sheet and evaluation form are returned to RCECS. The practitioner keeps the remaining material for future reference and review. A Certificate of Completion is issued for each course with a passing score of 70% or more on the post-test (Retake of failed tests require an additional fee).

PRIVACY STATEMENT
RCECS will never discuss, sell or provide any personal or private information to any third party except Respiratory, Nursing or EMS Boards requesting course completion verification.

REFUND POLICY
Prior to shipping a 10% processing fee is charged; Materials returned in a resellable condition (determined by RCECS) are subject to a 15% processing fee; No refund will be given after 90 days of shipping or for materials returned that are not in a resellable condition.

PLEASE NOTE
CE credit is provided for the ordering practitioner only. Courses are not transferable and must be completed within 90 days. Normal processing time for shipping, grading and certificate preparation is same day as received, or can be printed directly from your computer for online courses.

KEVIN T. MARTIN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Popular California educator Kevin T. Martin, BVE, RRT, RCP began his Respiratory career in 1976. His life was cut short in October of 1997 when he was killed in a motorcycle accident on his way home from working a shift at San Antonio Community Hospital in Upland, CA, leaving behind years of sharing his education and experience, and his dedication to the advancement of the Respiratory Care profession.

An advocate for the respiratory profession, Kevin frequently lobbied legislators about respiratory care issues and was often called a “watch dog” according to his coworkers. During his career as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, Kevin worked and taught at various hospitals and institutions throughout the Southern California area.

He was so dedicated in promoting the profession, that in 1982, he started RC Educational Consulting Services, Inc. (RCECS) providing continuing education home study courses, as a way to share his knowledge and education with others. In 2001, RCECS, in cooperation with the California Society For Respiratory Care, has established the Kevin T. Martin Memorial Scholarship fund in his honor to assist second year Respiratory students.
